Senior Sundays - Samantha S.
Welcome to another Senior Sunday with Debbie Larson Photography!
Featuring Senior Portrait shoots in Southwest Iowa.
I going to go back to a nice warm Senior session I did during our gorgeous fall here in Southern Iowa. We were particularly blessed this year with some wonderful bright yellows and deep oranges and reds. This not only made for some wonderful Senior picture sessions but also great family sessions as well.
Samantha was one of the lucky ones. Warm day...check, great light...check, all those fall colors....check check!!
Here are just a few of my favorites from our day together.
When your from a rural community like we are here, you are bound to find almost every family is either still part of the farm operation or only one or two generations removed from farming. Most, like our Senior featured here, still have all their family land nearby.
A family spot almost always holds a deep meaning to the families I have met and I feel it brings something a little special to their pictures. I love getting to be a part of capturing that for them! I have always loved exploring through barns, corn cribs and groves of trees. So whenever I have a family say they want pictures at "the farm" I know it's going to be a fun adventure!
I love sessions in the country! So many pretty backgrounds to choose from.
After the farm we headed to very scenic lake that was nearby. The trees has just started to turn so we still had some green to go with our fall colors.
I really wanted to try to get a shot like this down by the water. The golden sunset was perfect that evening and came out in the picture so nice. I just love her sweet and peaceful expression.
Thank you to Samantha and her mom for having me and for having some really nice areas picked out for us. It was a fun afternoon!
Good luck with the rest of your year, Samantha!
