A New Year
A new website and a new outlet for Debbie Larson Photography. Also my first time blogging. Please excuse any mistakes! I hope you enjoy :)
They say a new year is like the beginning of your own 365 page story. So write a good one! Now, sunrise pictures would have been more appropriate for this post but I have been lazy in the mornings... and it's been cold! So a couple of sunset pictures will have to do.
Can't you just feel the warm sun? That's one of the things I love so much about landscape photography. If you do it right, you can almost feel like you are there.
Now, doesn't this say SW Iowa country side. I don't think there is a flat field anywhere here on our farm. I love the rolling hills here. And it makes for some exciting driving on the roads. Sometimes more like a roller coaster ride!
I had been eyeing this spot ever since fall. I even took a couple of my daughter's Senior pictures in this field. It was much greener then of course. And full of wildflowers!
This is what you would call a CRP field. Landowners can choose to put their fields into CRP instead of farming it and get a payment to do so. This lets the land rest helps bring back some of the natural nutrients to the soil. Win win situation!
I fell in love with the way the sun falls over the hills and lands on ground at sunset.
The same field but a few minutes later. I think this may be one of my new favorites! He may be just a wee little weed but he sure lights up in all his former glory at sunset.
